What is this?
By the Numbers is a blog in which we use trusty ol’ Google to compare two (or more) items. Each item is put through a series of various tests to see which is more popular and/or loved. (Contrary to popular belief, every test does not go by numbers, although most do. Nearly everything is based from numbers.) The winner of each test gets a point, as well as “coolness points” which are calculated from the level to which an item succeeds in each test.
And unlike Whose Line is it Anyway, the points do matter. Which ever item wins the most tests is declared the best. The coolness points don’t have an effect on this, although they DO have an effect on the “Coolness Quotient” – coolness points divided by # tests. You can see a list of our coolest items ever, which is decided by their Coolness Quotient.
Through this site all great debates shall come to an end – because stats from Google is the most reliable source ever.
